SWADHYAY

To know one's ownself is Swadhyay. Acording to Shri Vinoba Bhave,Swadhyay is the study of one subject, which is the basis or roots of all other subjects or actions upon which other rest, but which itself doesnot rest upon any thing. in other words,Swadhyay is the study of the subject and not the object. Study of self or self analysis, what is this... how can we know it...Such questioning if sincerely pursued can lead us to self realisation.

swadhyay implies both studying scriptures and studying your own experiences leading to self realization. by constantly being aware and observing our thoughts ,actions and reactions, we can begin to understand what is that makes us act and react negitively or egoistically in any given situations, and then try to correct the old, unwanted conditions which are blurring our vision.through the practise of SWADHYAY, we can see where we are making mistakes in our life and rectify things by adjusting and adapting our behaviour and thinking. How can we act in the right time ,say right things and think the right thought without rocking the boat of life-THIS IS THE RESULT OF SWADHYAY OR SELF REALIZATION. Once we master it we will be able to glide our life smoothly and coolly and cheerfully. The person who practise Swadhyay thinks all people are the creation of GOD .THE BHAGWAT GITA STATES THAT ONE WHO SEES GOD IN EVERY BODY AND EVERY BODY IN GOD IS TRULY A REALISED SOUL. SUCH A RADICAL UNIVERSALITY SEEMS TO BE IN FOUNDATION AND IDEAL OF SWADHYAY.

Through the practise of swadhyay we can understand our ownself in a better way .By the process of self-analysis, we not only come to know and accept our limitations, habits, potential, etc, but also come to know how to act appropriately in any situation according to our abilities and needs.SATSANGS is the best way to know about Swadhyay.COMPANY OF THOSE MASTERS WHO HAVE ATTAINED SELF REALIZATION.There is no better way than Satsang for the refine ment of SELF.

yoga and hypertension

Blood pressure refers to the force exerted by the blood vessel against any unit area of vessel wall and it is always measured in mmHg. if we say that a pressure in the vessel is 100mm Hg it means that the force exerted is sufficient to push the column of mercury up to 100 mm. hypertension should not be considered as a disease it is a state in which blood pressure is maintain at 140 mmHg SYSTOLIC or more and 90 mmHg DIASTOLIC or more.It is hypertension.
The quantity of blood that passes a given point in the circulation in a given period of time is termed as blood flow.Maintenance of normal blood pressure depends upon balance between cardiac out put and peripheral vascular resistance, determined by how much smooth muscles of arteries contract. there must be a balance between sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous control.
main causes of hypertension are stress, lack of physical exercise, overeating, over weight, faulty foods habits, smoking, make the arteries harder and by this the peripheral blood vessel become narrow and giving rise to increased peripheral vascular resistance thus increasing systolic and diastolic blood pressure. as the blood pressure rises the person become restless and feel heaviness in head. continuously rise in BP brings about paralytic attack ,impairment to renal function by which kidney fail.Daily yoga practise and having simple diet, doing assans of Yoga one can control hypertension.
